Description:

The XTR100 is a microcircuit, 4 mA to 20 mA, two-wire transmitter containing a high accuracy instrumentation amplifier (IA), a voltage controlled output current source and dual-matched precision current references. The typical applications include industrial process control such as pressure transmitters and temperature transmitters, resistance bridge inputs, thermocouple inputs, RTD inputs, current shunt (mV) inputs, automated manufactures, automated manufacturing and power plant/energy system monitoring.

There are some features as follows.First is instrumentation amplifier input with low offset voltage, low voltage drift and low nonlinearity. The second is true two-wire operation including power and signal on one wire pair, current mode signal transmission and high noise immunity. Then is dual matched current sources.Next is wide supply range which is from 11.6 to 40 V.The fifth is -40 to +85℃ specification range. The last one is small 14-pin DIP package.

What comes next is about the absolute maximum ratings. The VCC (power supply) is 40 V.The input voltage is ≧VOUT and ≦VCC.The storage temperature is from -55 to +165℃ for metal and from -40 to +85℃ for plastic. The lead temperature (soldering 10 seconds) is +300℃.The junction temperature is +165℃.
