sensor IC from Unitrode is ideally
suited for use as a current
monitor. It contains a 1.3 mΩ
current shunt and can handle
currents up to ±20 A. The common-
mode voltage for the shunt
is GND ±75 mV or
VDD ±75 mV, so that the current
can be monitored either in
the positive supply rail or in the
negative supply line of a load.
The supply voltage, VDD, may
lie between 4.8 V and 14 V.
